Happy Valentines Day! ~ Pajama to Party refashion!

Whether or not you've plans for this weekend, everybody can have fun with this refashion!

I started out with this silky pajama set:
Happy V-day, yo!

Unfortunately, RIGHT after I took the before shot, the batteries died! So then I had to resort to my cell phone . . . don't say I didn't warn you ;)

I was immediately inspired by those candy-apple-red pants.
I'm so bright and shiny!

I took my scissors and snipped the inside seams of those legs right off!
I definitely encourage just cutting seams off. Don't bother with a seam ripper.

Then I turned the pants so the openings were on the sides, pinned and sewed!
See where I'm going with this?

The material was VERY prone to fraying, so as soon as I sewed one hem, I turned the material right around and used a zig-zag stitch to catch all the frays.
Trims those frays, and you'll be good to go!

Now, what to do with those funny shapes left from the crotch of the pants?
Like weirdo inverse pockets or something . . .

Of course, I could've just sewed a straight line past those, but I had a different idea :)
Pin it, for some cool draping!

And then I pulled the pinned section up and pinned AGAIN!
Double draping!

I repeated that on the other side, hand-sewed/tacked them down, and that was that!
And you know what I discovered?
There are SO MANY WAYS to wear this skirt!

Long Side-ruches
Natural-waist Side Ruches
Long Front-Ruches
Natural-Waist Front Ruches
Haute-Couture Dress!
Now THIS is a Valentine's Day dress!

This skirt is so unique and variable! And silky soft, too :)

Thanks for reading! I hope you get some good love from friends and family this weekend!
