This is another of those refashions that turned out a bit different than originally planned, but I LOVE IT! :D
I started out with these three shirts:
Woohoo, donated shirts! |
First I layed them out, and chopped the gold and blue shirts under the arm pits.
Ker-CHOP! |
After playing with them some, I decided I wanted smaller pieces to work with.
More chopping! |
Then I layed them all together, to get a sense of it.
See where this is going? |
The pink top was a bit wider than necessary, so I made pleats to bring it in.
Easy-peasy! |
The blue section that would attach to the pink top needed to sewn together before I could attach it.
Quick little line up each side! |
Then I placed the sections right sides together, pinned, and sewed! (I'll save you pictures of each piece under the needle.)
Once I reached the second pink piece (which had the original shirt hem), I realized the piece was completed. It didn't need the other sections (which wouldn't have been long enough for the maxi I was hoping for, anyway), it was perfect all by itself!
